Meet Jillian Goldsmith – Customer Service Representative
My name is Jillian and I am a native to the metropolis of Janesville, sometimes referred to as J-town, Janes-Vegas, etc. As a newcomer to Ganser I would like to thank everyone who has been so kind in welcoming me to the team. Here is a little trivia about me that not many people would have guessed: I come from a family who enjoys very "interesting" hobbies compared to other families. When I was younger, my family would load up into the van or station wagon and we would drive to wherever the World Horse Shoe tournament was! I enjoyed the scenery in places like South Dakota, and let me tell you, the Prairie Dog farm is a lot more fun for little kids than Wall Drug is. Oh yeah and that huge mountain with the presidents’ faces carved in it was a little impressive too.
I also grew up with traditions like listening to the Big Band show on Sunday mornings after church, and watching professional bowling on Saturday mornings. My family is very musical (except for me) which means a fun night out for me is attending a jazz gig that my brother plays the saxophone in. Another family tradition I had when growing up was to eat at China Buffet on Sunday afternoons, so therefore I am a master at chopsticks!! Try and test me☺ That love for Asian food brought me to Sushi, which I think is the most amazing food in the world. However, my philosophy is that “almost any food is better with cheese, ranch, sour cream, or chocolate.” In short, I love food and have been previously been known by the nick name "garbage disposal".
In my spare time, I enjoy doing anything that is spontaneous and active, but my insurance agent would be happy to know that it does not include any “risky” behavior like rock climbing and sky diving (shhhh…it was only that once) ☺ I enjoy going to devil’s lake whenever the weather is spectacular, or even when it’s less than spectacular. Hey, its Wisconsin…we learn to appreciate every day that is not -40 degrees and dreary. I once ran the Jingle Bell run when it was 6 degrees, and also ran Crazy Legs last year in the pouring rain! The amount of people who still ran in that race proves that Wisconsinites are officially “Crazy” and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am biased and think that Madison is the best city in the world, however, I love traveling in order to prove my theory wrong. (Warning: I will probably change my mind about Madison being the best city ever, when its -40 degrees and dreary and I will be dreaming of 80 degrees and sunny).
I love houses, decorating, painting, drawing, coloring in coloring books, and all that kind of fun stuff. I am looking forward to helping family and friends with their decorating and painting needs and they look forward to renting out my free labor by feeding me a big healthy meal☺ I love to paint murals as well as draw detailed black and white portraits, mostly of famous musicians like Dave Matthews (who actually saw the picture I drew of him and complimented me on my work! Awesome!) and Stevie Ray Vaughn. I love constantly meeting new people, which makes this job so great…I get to meet all of you who visit our showroom!
